The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of National Revenue and Minister of the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and the Honourable David Alward, Premier of New Brunswick, announced that the firm Apex Industries Inc. will be receiving combined financial assistance.

Apex Industries will use the financial assistance in order to improve their company’s competitiveness and to also create greater opportunities for the aerospace and defence sector in New Brunswick.

“This support to Apex Industries will maintain and create jobs in New Brunswick’s aerospace and defence sector,” said David Alward. “Diverse and dynamic, the aerospace and defence industry is a major driver of the region’s economy. That is why our Government is pleased to help Apex Industries acquire new equipment to create greater opportunities in the aerospace sector and gain expertise to enhance company competitiveness,” said Minster Shea. Apex Industries Inc. operates within various business sectors including aerospace and defence, oil and gas, mining marine and construction.

The company serves and or supplies customers within six of the seven continents of the world. “Our Government’s top priority is jobs, growth and long-term prosperity,” said Minister Shea. The Honourable Gail Shea & the Honourable David Alward will invest in the form of a $1,512,500 repayable contribution to the incorporation Apex Industries.

“Our government remains focused on four priorities, as outlined by the Prime Minster that Canadians care most about: their families, the safety of our streets and communities, their pride in being a citizen of this country, and of course, their personal financial security,” concluded Minister Shea.
